Jess Cohen and Richmond Lam present their collaborative portrait series that delves into the essence of their subjects with a raw and vulnerable approach, always respecting their agency. The beauty direction parallels this ethos, designed to enhance beauty and character without eclipsing what is fundamental.

Their process is rooted in a shared vision of perception and intimacy, endeavouring to capture and celebrate each subject’s individuality. This project fosters discussions on personal style and beauty, exploring authenticity with individuals who embody it uniquely.

For the models, actors, dancers, and musicians involved, portraying their true selves for the camera came naturally. Others found it a courageous act to be seen, even through Lam’s gentle and flattering lens.

The artists express their heartfelt gratitude to all who generously contributed their presence and image to this project.
